MEET
GEMINI, the twin.

After over 30 years of building single-occupant vehicles (SOVs), SEVT started design work on a multi-occupant vehicle (MOV) in Fall 2021 and made an electrifying debut at ASC 2024.

Gemini 2024!

MIT SEVT MOV Gemini was completed in the summer of 2024. It went on to compete in ASC 2024, traveling over 1500 miles from Tennessee to Wyoming along historic trails and placing 4th in the MOV division.

It will be succeeded by the team's next MOV, Solstice.

Gemini 2024!

From the drivers: What was it like to drive Gemini?

Being inside of Gemini is pretty mind blowing. I joined the team when Gemini was an idea, so being able to sit in it is pretty amazing.

The driving experience is quite loud - there are a lot of vibrations and you can hear each one! As one spends more time in the car, identifying the good vs. bad sounds becomes easy but at first, it sounds like a big rumble.

Driving mechanics-wise, it has all the normal things like blinkers and a seatbelt, but all slightly different. I found it kinda scary to drive at first, but once you get comfortable, it's the same as any other car!
